Trails

La Thuile Bike Park

220k of runs on the shoulder of Mont Blanc and at the base of glaciers – these routes are discreetly traced in harmony with the natural terrain and immersed in wild and ancient beauty. Accessible by two chairlifts, Bosco Express and Chalet Express, you’ll find yourself at the heart of the trail system where you can choose amongst the twenty trails and their various interconnections. Above treeline from 1900m to 2400m in altitude, these routes run on regular, linear slopes with some drops and gains and are charactierized by low vegetation and broad visibility.

From 1900m to 1400m altitude, the trail system runs through forests where it’s steep with counter slopes, tree root and technical challenges that will put you to the test. These are the most exhilarating runs! The chairlift company Funivie Piccolo San Bernardo offers various options: daily, multi-day, and international trail passes. Multi-day and international passes also provide access to the bike park on the French side at La Rosière. Don’t forget to check out our special offers which include rental, pass, and other perks!

Activities

Mountain Bike School La Thuile

The Mountain Bike School La Thuile was born in 2011 in a collaboration with the Funivie Piccolo San Bernardo chairlift company and is formed by MTB professional teachers recognized by the FCI (Italian federation for cycling) and the Autonomous Region of the Aosta Valley. The school is proud to offer various activities including cross country, enduro, downhill, road biking, and bike touring.

The school is located on the bike park’s practice field at the base of the Bosco Express chairlift. Lessons are given on the numerous bike park trails and at the practice field. The practice field is used to prepare cyclists new to the sport. Trail lessons are offered to more expert practitioners who want to perfect riding technique on drop-offs, woops, bridges, parabolic turns, and dual slalom. Don’t miss out on the pump track! The school is open all day from June to September.
